Parents,
The following information outlines the Aspire state testing schedule that the Marion School District will follow beginning Monday, April 5, 2021. Please take a few minutes to become familiar with the schedule that will be followed for your child(ren) in grades 3-10. ACT
Aspire Testing Schedule - t.ly/0Omp
Parents of face-to-face students: Please review the Aspire testing schedule. Notice your child(ren) will be taking one test a day during the week of April 5, 2021. Please keep this in mind when scheduling appointments during testing week.
Parents of virtual students: You will be receiving a text and/or email asking you to take a very important survey. Please look over the Aspire testing schedule to help you decide how to complete the survey. This survey will give you 3 options to choose from in order to get your child(ren) tested beginning April 5, 2021. Please fill out a survey for each child in grades 3-10. We ask that you complete the survey by Monday, March 29, 2021, at noon.
The Marion School District wants to ensure that every student has access to healthy meals during Spring Break. For that reason, as part of its regular meal distribution program, the district will distribute nine days' worth of meals to each student prior to spring break. This distribution will be split over three days, Wednesday, March 17, through Friday, March 19, and will include several 8-ounce milk cartons each day. All items will meet USDA nutritional guidelines. Special thanks to our Child Nutrition Team for making this possible!
Attention parents:
Students in grades 3-10 will take the ACT Aspire beginning Monday, April 5, 2021, and ending on Friday, April 9, 2021.
Parents of face-to-face students:
A testing schedule for the week of testing for each campus will be provided on Wednesday March 17, 2021. You will find this testing schedule on the Marion School District website and a direct link will be shared via our Facebook pages.
Parents of virtual students:
A survey and a copy of the testing schedule options will be available for you on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. The survey will provide 3 options for how virtual students will be tested. You are asked to choose the option that works best for your student(s). This survey will be emailed and sent through a text to parents of virtual students only. If a parent of a virtual child does not receive this email or text, please call and speak to Jonnett Gammill at 870-739-5100. A testing schedule will be posted on the Marion School website and a direct link shared via Facebook.
Don't forget to change your clock tonigh!
