Over 16 and needing the COVID-19 vaccine? The Pfizer vaccine is approved for those 16 years of age and older! The National Guard will be in Crittenden County this week, Tuesday, April 27-Friday, April 30, administering the Pfizer vaccine at the Crittenden County Health Department (901 N. 7th Street in West Memphis). The clinic will start at 9:30 a.m. each morning. Appointments for this clinic can be scheduled by calling 1-800-985-6030.
There is no out-of-pocket expense for the vaccine. People should bring their insurance cards. If you don’t have insurance, the vaccine will still be available at no charge.
The three authorized COVID-19 vaccines have each undergone rigorous reviews that have proven them to be both safe and effective. You can learn more about the vaccines and ADH vaccination plan at healthy.arkansas.gov/programs-services/topics/covid-19-vaccination-plan.
It's not too late to schedule a tour of our award-winning magnet schools! Tours are available, by appointment, of all three magnet schools for prospective families. Tours need to be scheduled in advance, and face coverings will be required for all campus visitors.

How are you celebrating Earth Day today?
The Marion High School Band will present a Band Concert and Awards Presentation at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 29 at the Marion Performing Arts Center.
Because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, and to protect the health and safety of students and guests, the concert audience will be limited to family members and school officials.
Each senior band member will be issued four tickets. All other students will receive two tickets each. All audience members must sit in marked spaces and masks must be worn at all times. Members of the same household may sit together, but maintain 6 feet of spacing from other groups.

Marion High School has announced its plans for its Class of 2021 graduation ceremony, to be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at Patriot Stadium.
Because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, precautions will be taken to protect the health and safety of students and guests. All attendees will be required to wear face masks. Capacity will be limited, with each graduate receiving 6 tickets for family and friends. Guests will be asked to practice social distancing when selecting seats. Masks will be distributed to those who do not have them.

Marion Patriot Volleyball Tryouts will be held on the following dates:
Sr. High (current 9th-11th-grade girls) – Sunday, April 25, 2-4 p.m.
Jr. High (current 7th- & 8th-grade girls) – Monday-Wednesday, April 26-28, 2:30-4:30 p.m.
7th Grade (current 6th-grade girls) -- Monday-Wednesday, April 26-28, 9 a.m.-noon.

With the school and local clinics offering athletic physicals on the days listed below, we are cancelling Tuesday (4/20) & Thursday (4/22) night sessions we previously had scheduled for girls trying out for volleyball. You can still go to Vital Wellness the week of April 19-23, anytime between 8 a.m. and 5 pm, for a free physical. We ask that you please get there before 4:45 pm.
Students may receive a free athletic physical at school on the following dates:
Wednesday, April 21 (8:30-11:00)- grades 9-11 baseball & softball
Thursday, April 22 (8:30-11:00)- grades 9-11 soccer, golf, tennis, & cheer
Friday, April 23 (8:30-11:00)- grades 9-11 football
Friday, April 23 (12:30-3:00) PATRIOT ARENA- grades 9-11 football, basketball, track, any athlete that missed prior opportunities for physical
Consent forms and athletic physical forms are available in each school office. Students may also pick up a form from coaches.
