We’re kicking off the 2nd nine weeks with another FUNdraiser to support our students! For $30, you can sign up to BOO! someone’s yard. You pick the friend, teacher, neighbor you’d like to BOO! and our GPA Boo Crew will add yard signs and a bag of treats to their yard for a day.

Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM) is celebrated September 15 through October 15 every year in the United States. During this time we recognize and celebrate the many contributions, diverse cultures, and extensive histories of the American Latino community (sites.ed.gov).
HCGC students completed a mini researched project on HHM before leaving for Fall Break. Habit #3 Put first things first… Work first then play!💻🍁
Sweet first grader made a connection during the Frida Kahlo lesson. Super excited she asked if she could show her classmates the keychain on her backpack! “Now I know it’s Frida” 🎒🎨

Students have been learning about the 7 countries that gained their independence from Spain on September 1821.🇬🇹 🇸🇻 🇭🇳 🇳🇮 🇨🇷 🇲🇽🇨🇱 Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica (Sept. 15th), Mexico (Sept. 15-16th), and Chile (Sept. 18th)
Ms. Jones’ class had a special visitor Mrs. Hernandez for Hispanic Heritage month!

The Marion School District Cheerleaders are putting on a "Future Patriot Cheer Clinic and Performance." This event is for students in K-6th grade and they do not have to be a current student at MSD. The clinic is Oct. 17-19 and the performance is Oct. 20th.
