The MJHS Family and Consumer Science classes spent some time this past week learning kitchen math, measurements and French! Students created their own Play-Doh, practiced knife cuts and safe commercial kitchen skills. Be sure to test their French by mentioning paysanne, brunoise, and julienne!

The Family and Consumer Science students are well into their Nutrition Unit, studying kitchen safety, cross-contamination, cleaning vs. sanitizing, recipe comprehension, units of measurement, and basic knife cuts. This will all lead up to their kitchen teams cooking soups next week. Their fungus project is growing strong, seeing new growth everyday!
