Carnaval esta en HCGC! This week the kids learned about carnival traditions in Latin America, they decorated masks, they vote for the carnival queen and king … lots of fun and learning!!











Winners for the week of March 3-7 for excelling in leadership and having the highest Live School points are:

First grade: Cayla Huff
Second grade: Declan Tinsley
Third grade: Avery Cooper
Fourth grade: Brandi Clark

Sixth grade: Jules McPherson
Students earn points throughout the week for showing Leadership: The HCGC Way. Winners are randomly chosen each week based on the students with the highest percentage of points earned. They get to choose a prize from the reward wagon. Please encourage your child to show Leadership: The HCGC Way. We are so proud and excited to see our students exhibiting excellent leadership skills.







Ms. Nicholson' and Ms. Newcomb's classes became architects after learning about Zaha Hadid. Her book, "The World Is Not A Rectangle," taught students to look at objects in new ways as they built their own buildings.

Ms. Ali Salisbury from our local 4H came to Ms. Pirani's Discovery class to talk about Groundhog Day!
Students learned about shadows and light! 💡 ☀️🕳️









The Student Lighthouse Team received the red carpet treatment today from our state's capitol. They witnessed leadership first-hand and learned so much about representing their constituents and community.
