Four outstanding Marion High School musicians earned positions in the Arkansas All-State Band and Orchestra in auditions held Saturday, February 11, at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.
Junior Miller Owen placed in the Symphonic Band and earned All-State status for the second consecutive year. This marks the first time since 2014 that a Marion Band member has achieved this distinction.

Sophomore Ariel Ross became the first Marion High School student in history to earn a position in the Symphony Orchestra on violin.
Additionally, senior Teneal Adams placed in the All-State Concert Band on tuba, and sophomore Chris Partain earned a position in the All-State Orchestra on percussion.

This also marks the first time since 2014 that multiple instrumental students from Marion earned All-State status.
These students will rehearse and perform with the All-State Band and Orchestra February 16-18 in Hot Springs.
