Over the past two days we have been able to have meetings with all of our 7th graders! We went over rules and procedures, guidelines, and expectations. We covered everything from dress code to cellphones, hall passes to nurse passes! Our 7th graders are doing a great job transitioning to the secondary level! #7GAGrowTogether

Parents: Our 7th graders are starting to settle into their new routines, learning their classes and schedules! They have all learned so quickly, and we are very proud of them! One routine we need to practice is making sure we have all our things as we come to school in the morning and as we move about during the day. Please help your 7th grader make a mental checklist of what they need each day: Backpack, ID badge, Chromebook, lunchbox (if they bring their lunch), band instrument, etc. We do already have a Lost & Found table set up in the cafeteria if your child is missing something! #7GAGrowTogether

7GA Parents: If your child is in need of a schedule change, please have them fill out the Google form that was sent to their school email. Our wonderful counselor, Mrs. Jefferson, will reach out to students from that list. #7GAGrowTogether

Tomorrow is the first day of school! We cannot wait to welcome officially the class of 2029 to Marion Seventh Grade Academy! Students can arrive at 7:30am tomorrow. They will go to the cafeteria until the bell rings at 7:55am to go to homerooms. Dismissal is at 3:15pm. Car riders can be picked up in front of the school. #7GAGrowTogether

And we’re back! Faculty and staff at the Marion School District kicked off the 2023-24 school year today (Thursday) with the district’s annual back-to-school kickoff and lunch. Held at the Marion Performing Arts Center, the event included updates on district activities, introduction of new staff members, door prizes, performances from the MHS marching band and choral ensemble, and more. The first day of school for Marion students is Thursday, July 27.
