Current MSD 7th & 8th grade girls interested in trying out for the 2025-2026 Marion Patriot Volleyball season please complete the following form.
Tryouts are May 6th and 7th from 3:30-5:30 in the Patriot Volleyball Gym (3M Transit Arena).
Make sure and be on time and be picked up on time! We will make a first cut after tryouts on May 6th. Girls will be told if they are coming back for tryouts on May 7th. The 2025 Jr. High Team will be posted Friday, May 9th.
You must have a copy of your current athletic physical to try out
MSD is offering free physicals for your grades before our tryouts. Physicals must be on a AAA form. Forms will be available in each bldgs. front office by 4/14th.

4/28, 8:30-11:30, 7th grade (last name N-Z)
4/30, 8:30-11:30, 8th grade girls
Girls trying out should be properly dressed in athletic attire and athletic shoes.... T-shirts, leggings, shorts, joggers, spandex. (Kneepads are encouraged but not required. If you have them, wear them. If not, do not go out and buy any!) Wear athletic shoes, gym shoes. Crocs, sandals, slides, etc. not allowed.
Girls will be able to dress/change when they arrive at the VB gym before and after tryouts.

7GA art students are participating in the Sultana Museum Art contest. Melody Walker from the museum spoke to students about the history of the Sultana which sank in the Mississippi River near Marion, AR.

Miss Ezell consistently demonstrates strong classroom management skills in her In-School Suspension (ISS) class. She effectively reinforces the purpose of ISS, reminding students that their placement is often a result of poor decision-making. However, she goes beyond discipline by fostering a growth mindset, encouraging students to reflect on their choices and develop better decision-making skills. Through her guidance and support, she helps students recognize their potential and make more positive choices moving forward.

National School Librarian Day is observed on April 4th and is a time to recognize and appreciate the important role school librarians play in supporting student learning and literacy. The day aims to celebrate and support school librarians and the essential role they play in transforming learning. 7GA would like to thank our Librarian for all that she does.
