All students are required to take 3 years of science to
meet the state requirements for graduation.
Students are required to take one year of
Physical Science and one year of Biology.

*Every Biology student is required to take the EOC Biology exam. Students must
score proficient or receive a semester of remediation the following year.
The Science Department recommends that all college-bound students consider taking at
least Chemistry 1 and Physics at MHS.
Some of the above courses have pre-requisites listed in the MHS CAP booklet.
Honor Graduation requires that 2 of the 3 high school science courses must be AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science or Physics.
