 | Class Policies & Procedures
1. When you enter the room, collect your supplies and go directly to your seat. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR SEAT.
a) Take care of all tasks before the bell rings. (Sharpen pencils/restroom visits)
b) If you are NOT in your seat when the bell rings – you will receive detention.
c) Do not get out of your seat unless you have permission. Save trash or paper to discard of until the bell rings.
2. Tardiness will not be tolerated – in compliance with the school tardy policy.
3. When the bell rings, be ready to work!! Begin the bellringer or journal activity from the board.
4. The daily objective and assignment will be posted on the board.
5. When the bell rings for dismissal, remain in your seat until the teacher dismisses you.
6. You will be required to have your necessary supplies each day – which includes your writing utensil, paper and other materials as assigned.
7. Always keep all work in your English notebook – We will use this material for review at test time.
8. Put your name and date and other instructed information on each assignment.
9. You are responsible for ALL make-up work, as stated in the student policy handbook. I will accept NO late work after the designated due date. This is a zero-tolerance policy.
10. Learn to transition from an atmosphere of open discussion to one of “work and no talking.”
11. Always be respectful of students or guests.
12. Do not enter the classroom unless a teacher is present.
13. Keep a copy of your classroom procedures in your English notebook.
14. You may only use pens with blue or black ink. No pencils please and you must write in cursive.
16. I do not assign very much homework – so when it is required … you MUST do it!! You will receive a completion grade and an assignment grade.
