8/20  Ventricle -muscular chamber that pumps blood out of the heart
8/21   Dorsal - pertaining to the back; posterior
8/22  Genotype - gentic make up of an organism
8/23  Gene  -  segment of DNA that codes for a particular protein
8/24  Glottis  -  the opening between the vocal cords in the larynx

8/27  Leukocytes  -  white blood cells
8/28  Erthrocytes  - red blood cells
8/29  Tendon  -  most common way to attach muscles to bones
8/30  Organelle  - cell structure that performs a specialized function within the cell
8/31  Autotroph  -  an organism that can make its own food

9/4  Nucleic acid  -  class of organic molecules that includes DNA and RNA
9/5  Atrophy  -  the wasting away of muscles due to an extended period of inactivity
9/6  Chromatid  -  one of two distinct strands that makes up each chromosomes
9/7  Histology  -  branch of anatomy dealing with the study of tissues

9/10  Vaccination  -  injection of a weakened or mild form of a pathogen used to promote immunity
9/11  Bacillus  -  rod-shaped bacteria
9/12  Cerebellum - part of the brain that coordinated and balances the actions of the muscles

9/14  Hemacrit - percentage of erthrocytes to total blood volume
