2007 Golf Season
Golf - 2007
The 2007 Golf season started very slow but ended with a bang!!! We had some individual achievements that will last a lifetime.
The girls team qualified 3rd in the Conference for the 2nd consecutive year. Sr. Kara Norton captured the individual honor of Conference Champion firing a personal best score of 82. Team members include Sr. Kara Norton - All Conference, All State, Sr. Caley Aughenbaugh - All Conference, Soph. Jessica Harrison - All Conference.
In boys action the team battled to the end falling a few strokes short of qualifying. Although, three did qualify for individual play in the State Tournament. Jr. Zac McCollum - All Conference, Soph. Josh Alford All Conference, All State, and Ryan Barlow - All Conference. Other team members that participated in the Conference Tournament were Sr. Brian Baioni, and Jr. Austin Smith.
Soph. Josh Alford shot a 3 under par 69 to win the 6A State Championship. He followed that hard earned victory by winning the Overall Golf Championship. He was able to bring the Crystal Cup by shooting 1 under par on 27 holes. These accomplishments are going to be a challenge in that he has two more years left but with his compassion and love for golf anything is possible.

2006 Season Results
Golf 2006
We had a tremendous year in girls and boys both of which qualified for State Tournament play!
The girls team qualified third in the Conference. Team members - Sr. Micah Yarbro Jrs. Caley Aughenbaugh, Kara Norton and Mary Jordan Underwood.
All Conference - Micah Yarbro
The boys team compiled an impressive record of over 30 wins. They qualified fourth in the conference. Team members - Srs. Will Fogleman, Matt Deal, and Chase Letner, Soph. - Zac McCollum, and Fr. Josh Alford.
All Conference - Sr. Will Fogleman - Medalist 8 out of 12 matches, Low Medalist at the Spartan Classic at T. O. Fuller in Memphis
Soph. Zac McCollum fired a 77 in Conference Tournament play.
Fr. Josh Alford - Medalist 4 out of 12 matches. Carded a 75 in State Tournament action 2 Strokes from being in the top 3.
I would personally like to thank Jeremy Smith of the Marion Golf and Athletic Club for all he has done for our Golf Program. The Booster Club also gets a pat on the back for coming out and cooking us some burgers in the 100 degree heat.

2006 Season
The boys tennis team finished second in the 6A East district tennis
tournament. Doubles teams Michael Altemus/Brian Baioni, Adam Foster/Josh
Pospisil and singles player Sam Pirani all qualified for the 6A state tennis
tournament where they all won their first round matches but lost in the
second round.
The girls doubles team of Cassie Hallmark and Erin Spencer did qualify for the
state tennis tournament where they won their first two rounds before losing
in the semifinals.
