Students attending the Marion High School prom Saturday could go “Walking in Memphis” for as long as they wished. The themed event was true to Memphis as could be with a huge river boat, the skyline, a stroll past notable Memphians and a landmark. Once couples registered, the evening was filled with lots of music with video, dancing, and meeting with friends on this special night, even a very young attendee, accompanied by a parent/staffer for MHS, found time to dance. Faculty bided their time checking their smart phones or getting their pictures made with some of their students. Between dances, students could express their bucket list. The magical night drew to a close with an emotional Latia Brown when she was voted Prom Queen and a very happy Sam Scott when he was voted Prom King.
