Using miniature candy bars, Honey Graham Bears, Smarties, Life Savers, white frosting and gummy treats,
Mrs. McCorkle's students expressed themselves by creating Easter Parade cars.
Then, they ate the evidence!!

Mrs. Baker and Mrs. McNiece, two teachers at MMS, attended a Young Adult Author Series at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas this past weekend.  The guest author was Mary Downing Hahn (pictured above), who wrote  Wait Til Helen Comes: A Ghost Story and Deep and Dark and Dangerous among many other books. The author gave these teachers tips on how to help our students conquer the writing process.

MMS will be featured in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's newsletter celebrating our placement as
#1 in the state of Arkansas
and #2 in our region
for raising the most money during our Pennies for Patients drive!
We raised over $6,000.00--WOW!    Thank you to all who contributed.

6th Grade Science students designed and created cars powered by air.
MMS's front lobby became a race track as onlookers watch the excitement!
Hmmm...This may be the solution to our soaring gas prices!!
